The Partnership
Since 1991. Three decades, every home game, every Cup run.
Wednesfield Cars has been the official taxi service of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC since the year the dispatch desk first opened on Raynor Road. Through Premier League promotion, relegation, Cup runs, and everything in between, every Wolves home matchday at Molineux has been operationally supported by our drivers.

The Origin
When Wednesfield Cars opened its dispatch desk in Wednesfield in 1991, Wolves were in the old Second Division (now Championship), playing to crowds of 12,000-20,000, large enough to need coordinated taxi support post-match. The original founders approached the club. The partnership has continued unbroken ever since.
Two divisions, three relegations, two promotions, a Premier League run, a Europa League season. Through all of it, the same dispatch desk on Raynor Road has been picking up calls from fans heading to Molineux. Drivers have changed; the partnership hasn't. The matchday operation has grown with the crowds, but the principle has stayed the same: get Wolverhampton to the ground and back without the post-match scramble.
Inside a Matchday
What the dispatch desk actually does on a Wolves home game.
Two hours before kick-off, dispatch routes the fleet into matchday pattern. Pre-booked fans from Wednesfield, Whitmore Reans, Bushbury, and Ashmore Park arrive at Molineux 30-45 minutes before kick-off. App bookings spike at the two-hour mark, volume runs 3× a normal Saturday.
A holding fleet stays on standby at the Wolverhampton Station rank and Waterloo Road. Drivers who finish drop-offs by the 45th minute reposition for the post-match wave. Dispatch monitors live attendance figures and Wolves social media for hints of an early-leaving crowd.
The big wave is 8-15 minutes after the final whistle, when app bookings can hit 20+ per minute. We split the load by area: Wednesfield and Ashmore Park cars stay east of Molineux, Whitmore Reans and Bushbury cars work the west side. Most fans are home within 25 minutes.
A sold-out 30,000 Premier League crowd or a European night puts the whole operation at full stretch. The method holds: split the borough by compass, keep a reserve fleet at the station, clear the wave inside the 8-15 minute window. Three decades of matchdays mean the desk has run this on promotion days, relegation six-pointers, and every Cup run since 1991.

Beyond the Stadium
The operational scale of running matchday transport, a full dispatch desk, 24/7 office on Raynor Road, a fleet that can shift into matchday mode in minutes, is what makes the rest of the service work. The reason a Tuesday-morning airport transfer leaves on time is the same dispatch infrastructure that handles a 30,000-crowd matchday. For corporate matchday coordination, see business accounts. The partnership isn't a marketing line, it's why the dispatch is fast.

The Wolves Foundation
Alongside the matchday partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, we're long-time supporters of the Wolves Foundation, the club's official charity, working across Wolverhampton with young people, schools, and community groups, using football as a lever for opportunity. Same dispatch desk, same drivers, same commitment to the city it serves.
